Projects

Creating and working in Hub projects.

Status: Available

Projects are the primary scientific workspaces in OVAITY. They live under Hub.

Open Hub

  1. Sign in.
  2. Select Hub in the main menu (/hub).
  3. Open a project card to enter /hub/[projectId].

Project tabs

Canvas boards are not available. Analysis Studio is a separate screen and is available.

Creating projects

Create projects from Hub when your account is allowed to. New projects receive an owner and can later be linked to a lab and collaborators.

Project status

Projects support lifecycle-oriented statuses such as planning, active, paused, completed, and archived. Exact labels in the UI follow the project status badge.

Studies

There is no dedicated Studies tab. Use samples, datasets, and (where present) experiment records. See Studies and experiments.

Tasks, files, collaborators, notebook, analyses, reports, logs

Each has its own documentation page or section:

Decisions and rationale

Use Memory on the project (and optionally lab/org memory) to capture decisions with provenance. Labbook entries support chronological scientific narrative.

Ownership and permissions

Project roles control who can edit, invite, or only view. Lab inheritance may grant access without an explicit project membership for eligible lab members. External collaborators require explicit project membership.

Practical checklist

  1. Open the project Overview and confirm samples/datasets look correct.
  2. Invite collaborators from the Collaborators tab if needed.
  3. Upload files and link samples.
  4. Run analyses in Studio.
  5. Capture notes in Labbook and decisions in Memory.
  6. Track work with Tasks; review Reports and Logs.
