Our Journey

It started with a problem.

In August 2025, an observation inside a research environment sparked a question that would become OVAITY.

“What if research could continuously build on everything it already knows?”

Chapter 01

The Spark

August – September 2025

  1. Origin

    Where it started

During his time at Balgrist Campus, Roberto Honegger experienced firsthand how scientific knowledge becomes fragmented across experiments, files, tools and people — and how valuable context can get lost along the way.

This sparked the question that would eventually become OVAITY:

What if research could continuously build on everything it already knows?

    Why this mattered

Every product decision that followed traces back to this observation: research knowledge was fragmenting faster than it could be reused.

Roberto is the Founder and CEO of OVAITY, where he leads the company's vision, strategy, product, and execution. He is responsible for defining the long-term direction of the platform, building the team and partnerships, and establishing OVAITY as the intelligent operating layer for life-science research and development.

Combining expertise in Human-Centered AI, computer science, and psychology, Roberto is passionate about how humans and AI can work together to accelerate scientific discovery. His focus is building infrastructure that transforms fragmented experiments, data, and decisions into a connected, continuously evolving scientific intelligence—enabling researchers and their AI agents to work from shared knowledge instead of starting from scratch.

  3. Product

    The first lines of OVAITY

Roberto starts developing the first OVAITY prototype, exploring how software and AI could connect scientific work, data and knowledge in a fundamentally better way.

The problem begins turning into a product.
