Client documentation overview

What OVAITY is and what users can accomplish in the current product.

Status: Available

OVAITY is a Scientific Intelligence Platform for life science R&D teams. It helps researchers keep datasets, samples, analyses, notes, decisions, and collaborators connected in one governed workspace.

Slogan: Your team, amplified. Your science, connected.

Positioning: The Intelligent Research Environment for Life Science R&D.

This guide is practical. It describes what you can do in the product today.

Who it is for

  • Researchers and scientists working with multi-omics and related data
  • Principal investigators (lab owners)
  • Lab and research-group administrators
  • Organization administrators
  • External collaborators with limited project access

How work fits together

ConceptRole in OVAITY
OrganizationTenant for membership, billing, and org-level settings
LabResearch group under an organization; PI is the lab owner
Project (Hub)Primary workspace for datasets, analyses, tasks, files, labbook, reports, and logs
SamplesShared biological/technical units linking assays and datasets
DatasetsUploaded or imported data assets and analysis-ready derivatives
AnalysesTool runs from Analysis Studio / workers that produce artifacts
LabbookChronological scientific notes and reviewed context
MemoryDecisions, rationale, and retrievable project/lab/org memory
Tasks and milestonesCoordination and progress tracking
OvaitionsShareable publication-style narratives

There is no Study screen. Experiments are stored and used behind reports and Ovaitions. They are not a project tab. Day-to-day work is organized around projects, samples, and datasets. See Studies and experiments.

What you can accomplish today

  • Sign in with email and password, accept invitations, and join organizations, labs, and projects. Public self-serve signup is closed.
  • Create and manage projects in Hub
  • Upload and organize project files; manage datasets and sample links
  • Run analysis tools from Analysis Studio on a project, including protein structure and binding when that deployment includes it. Preview tools are not finished runs.
  • Capture notebook entries, including file attachments, and project memory. Labs and organizations have their own memory as well.
  • Assign tasks on a board or calendar; track milestones on the project overview
  • Review project reports and the activity log. Reports stay in the project. They are not public Ovaitions.
  • Invite people to an organization or lab, and assign a project role to someone who already has an account
  • Use the in-app assistant, including missions, only on projects you can access
  • Chat with people on a project from the project header. That chat is separate from the assistant.
  • Connectors are still work in progress. Google Drive is the only one that can be connected, from Settings.
  • Publish or share an Ovaition when your role allows it. A custom public domain is optional.

After sign-in, the primary sidebar typically includes:

ItemPurpose
HubProjects and project workspaces
LabsResearch groups
OrganizationsOrg list and settings. Shown once you belong to an organization.
LibraryDataset library browsing
WorkflowsWorkflow catalog
ExploreExploration surfaces
OvaitionsPublication-style outputs
ReferencesReference materials

The bottom of the sidebar also has Feedback, Settings, and Profile.

Project tabs are Overview, Analysis (Studio), Tasks, Files, Collaborators, Notebook (the lab notebook), Memory, Reports, and Logs. Canvas boards are not available. Analysis Studio is a separate screen and is available.
